I Respect The Restaurant Doorman For Not Letting Anthony Davis In Because He Was Wearing A Hoodie

Page 6 - Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans forward and MVP of the All-Star game, was turned away from a hip Japanese restaurant in West Hollywood for wearing a team hoodie.

Davis and some of his teammates were barred from entering eatery Katana on Monday night by a doorman who objected to Davis’ Pelicans garb.

A witness said, “Davis was pleading with the doorman, saying, ‘Me and my teammates just want to get something to eat.’ He said he couldn’t take off the hoodie because he was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt underneath. Davis even offered to spend a fortune to rent the private room, but the doorman said, ‘No you can’t come in wearing a hoodie.’ So Davis got back in his SUV and left, and only then did the restaurant manager come running out, freaking out at the doorman.”

Some people are saying it would be best for business if you allow someone who signed a 5 year, 127 million dollar contract into your restaurant. Those people are saying you should throw out any and all dress codes, save for their cocks and balls dangling in the breeze, and allow them into your establishment for a bite to eat. Furthermore, those people are saying if Anthony Davis offers “a fortune” to rent the private room, you should swiftly and promptly escort him to your private room. Well, those people are dead ass wrong.

You see, businesses have to have values. If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything. The doorman was simply doing the job he was trained to do, nothing more, nothing less. Not budging when Anthony Davis offered to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars just to eat there is no small task, but he did it. He stood up to near-7 footer and didn’t compromise. Weaker men would have crumbled. But our doorman did not waver, and did not compromise.

And finally, it’s tyranny for the restaurant manager to come running out, freaking out at the doorman. Uhhhh sorry he did his job to the best of his abilities? Sorry he won’t give preferential treatment to anyone. It says right there, no hoodies, it doesn’t matter if you’re worth 100 million dollars or not. That sushi will only be eaten by people in collared shirts, thank you very much. All they can do now is give that doorman a raise.
